Mzathurzhel is located near The Reach, deep in the mountains. It was once a thriving Dwemer city, and was home to what has since become known as the Great Library. It was here that collected knowledge and wisdom was kept by ancient scholars. After the disappearance of the Dwemer, Mzathurzhel was forgotten and the city became flooded with water. Rushing torrents eroded away the floor of the library, and most of it fell away into a chasm below, destroying the knowledge it held. Some of the library has been preserved, however, by modern scholars who have rediscovered Mzathurzhel and have worked hard to preserve it. The water that would otherwise flood the ruins are kept at bay with a pump system. A research camp has been established in the main area, and some of the homes have been restored to their former glory. A portion of the surviving library has been restored as well. In the chasm below the library, a camp sits abandoned. The scholars try to speculate who lived there and why it's abandoned, but it remains a mystery.

Roughly translated to mean "Star Lake," Taarajel is home to the Taara Clan, a caravan of Khajiiti merchants and adventurers that travel Tamriel in search of ancient treasures and fortune. Taarajel was established by the clan's chieftess, Zumari, after the Taara Clan ran out the previous bandit tenants. It's been cleaned up, turned around, and somewhat restored before being opened to the public to vacation and do trade. The temple ruins house statues dedicated to the monks who once called the grounds home prior to the holy site falling into disrepair. Very little is known about which aspect was originally worshipped in the old temple, but it is now dedicated to Khenarthi. The waters that flow both beneath the temple and around its ruin glow like starlight, especially at night, giving the site its mystical name. The small port has a gate that opens at dawn and seals at dusk, allowing in merchants who travel to Taarajel via boat up the numerous rivers that flow into the lake.

On the western border of Falkreath and the Reach lies the quiet town of Rosewood. Now quaint, it was once a booming border town on account of it being the headquarters for the Briar Order, a chivalrous organization that was once dedicated to the eradication of afflicted beings. The town had a large silver mine which was used for both smithing weapons for the Order as well as profit, making it a desirable township for whoever laid claim to it. The Order and Rosewood began to fade into obscurity when its ownership continued to be contested -- often violently -- by both the Reach and Falkreath. It has been won and lost many times over the years. The Briar Order is considered dissolved, but there are rumors that the town still holds to its past and that the Order may still exist there to some degree. It is presently held by the Reach, which still uses it for its silver mine. It has turned into a rather sleepy place to live in recent years and has not seen contention in over a decade. The keep on the mountain overlooking the town has been home to the governors of Rosewood for generations, with the present governor being of the Winters family.

A small village located in the Skyrim Hold of Hjaalmarch, Snowrest is a sleepy port that, up until now, was frequented by few over the years. It was originally commissioned to be built by the Briar Order of Rosewood, of Falkreath Hold, as a means to export the town's silver. A deal was made with the Jarl of Morthal that a percentage of the exported silver would be given as a tax, and in exchange, the city would be considered an extension of, and governed by, Rosewood, making it a city-state. The treaty stands to this day. Its main export on behalf of Rosewood is still silver, but it also now deals in exports of fish and game. It further acts as a trade stop for ships traveling further north-east to Solitude and supplies Rosewood with any imports from ships that dock in the harbor. The local inn, The Rose Dragon, serves the famed and rare White Rose Mead, imported directly from Rosewood. The great trade ship, The Trinket, is a common sight in Snowrest.

Built within the bowels of a dormant volcano lies the Imperial township of Attria. It is simply the newest of towns built on a site that has seen centuries of destruction. It sits on the remains of no less than seven cities and towns, all wiped off the face of Nirn by the ancient, slumbering volcano, Attricus. Built to honor the dead of the first town, Attria is a city whose patron deities are Arkay and Akatosh, with one to remember those who have passed, and the other to plead for more time from the mountain. It is presently governed by the Ascentros family, who own the Divina Lacrimae Bathhouse. The present Attria has existed for well over one hundred years and has been thriving in that time. It boasts warm springs in its small bathhouse -- which caters to those who cannot afford the luxuries of the Divina Lacrimae nearby -- and great food grown from the nutrient-rich soils that surround the mountain. Fine grains make for heartier bread, and the grapes that are grown here produce a wide variety of wines. There are presently no signs of disruption from the great mountain Attria is built upon, and the citizens rest well knowing their town is still safe and watched over by their Divines.
